VISUAL ART

I am a self-taught visual artist. My portraits are a mixed-media collision of acrylic paint and literature. I take an enticing image and add paper to represent a portrait's  accessory or other element, rendering a tangible three dimensional experience. The text ranges from Earnest Henley's "Invictus," to sides from Broadway auditions,  to excerpts from Khalil Gibran's The Prophet. My pieces have happily been commissioned  and  displayed at Bite Cafe with “Black Art Heaux Show," Metropolis Cafe, Out of the Blue Gallery, Harvard School of Education, Magnolia Cafe, and Chicago Art Department.

A portion of the proceeds go to the USFCH, of course!
