Lanise Shelley is a 600 RYT trauma informed somatic coach ​specializing in power vinyasa, Circuit training, sculpt, HIIT, yin yoga, ​breathwork, myofascial release, and ​meditation. Her classes focus on ​freeing fascial congestion, enhancing mobility, ​dynamic stretching, ​kinesthetic awareness, strength training, and empowering ​meditations that are featured on the Insight Timer App.
My Story
I began as a dancer and athlete and recognized early on that I process life kinesthetically. No matter where I am in the world, the first thing I seek out is a dance class or a yoga studio. My movement background also includes training in Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and Qi Gong.

I’ve spent years studying movement and acting across Russia, Canada, Senegal, Scotland, England, and France. These experiences have shaped my teaching into a living patchwork of global influences that continue to refine and inform my pedagogy.

This multicultural approach allows me to see the intersections between seemingly different movement traditions. I embody those connections in how I sequence, program, and relate to my students—creating practices that feel intelligent, integrated, and deeply resonant.
